Hawen Cottage is a newly renovated, dog-friendly, semi-detached 2 bedroom cottage. It has been thoughtfully updated whilst at the same time retaining many of the original features such as oak beams, slate cills and lime rendered walls. 

The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 in one double bedroom and a triple room. There is a spacious living area with open plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen is fully fitted with single oven, halogen hob, extractor, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining table for 5 and lounge space seating 5 on a large sofa and 2 armchairs. Upstairs is a shower room (with basin, WC and heated towel rail), and two bedrooms. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove will keep you snug on cooler days and nights. 

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. However, you do need to provide your own beach towels.

Outside

Outside, the cottage has its own dog-proof garden where you can relax, catch the sun and have a barbecue after an afternoon on the beach or day out. 

A public footpath runs through Pigeonsford Farm and leads directly into a beautiful ancient woodland which takes you towards the village and beach. This is ideal for exercising your dog or indeed yourself. Leave the car behind and take a delightful stroll into the village.

Access Statement

Pigeonsford Farm Holiday Cottages are located on private land, in a peaceful spot away from the road. There is minimal traffic noise but occasionally agricultural vehicles and animals can be heard. This is a rural area and some noise is to be expected. 

Parking is available close to the cottage. The areas around the cottage are predominantly gravel and there are several steps down to Hawen or a gentle slope. This may make access difficult for those with impaired mobility. 

External PIR lighting illuminates in low light or at night.

The property is simply furnished to maximise space but provides all that is required for a relaxing holiday.

Internally there is a wooden, winding staircase.

Owners live on the property so will be able to meet you and show you around. They will be on call if you have any problems during your stay.

Large Families and Groups

Hawen is available to rent as one large property with Rhibyn Cottage. A soundproof and fireproof door and wall separates the two properties but can be opened so that a holiday unit for 10 people is available. Please contact us separately if you would like to discuss doing  this. Please note, stag and hen parties are not permitted.
